  2. Vaccine • MyWay uses a combination of vaccines, vaccine categories, and procedure vaccines to enable providers to correctly record and bill for vaccinations that they administer to patients. • Many common vaccines are predefined in MyWay. • You can enter additional vaccine and vaccine category associations if needed. A vaccine must be associated with one or more CPT codes in order for a charge to be made for it.

  3. Vaccine • Vaccinations may be charted using either the vaccine administration record function or the procedure note function • They cannot be charted from both functions at the same time. • Regardless of which method is used to chart a vaccination, the vaccination appears in the vaccine administration record for the patient if you have defined and selected one.

  4. Vaccine Click on List Editor

  5. Vaccine Click on the + to expand the Clinical List

  6. Vaccine • Click on Vaccine • The Vaccine list will show to the right

  7. Vaccine • Select correct vaccine name by clicking on blue hyperlink

  8. Vaccine • The Name can be modified in this window • Click the “Add” to open the Vaccine Inventory window

  9. Vaccine 1 • Click on the Magnifying glass to open the associated table and choose the information • Enter the Lot Number • Enter the Age Range 2 3 4 5 6 7

  10. Vaccine Manufacturer • Select correct Vaccine Manufacturer Name by clicking on blue hyperlink

  11. Vaccine Medication • Search of the drug • Select the correct medication by selecting the blue hyperlink

  12. Vaccine • Once the information is entered click OK

  13. Vaccine • The lot number and additional inventory information is shown in the list • Complete the default dosage information is applicable

  14. Vaccine • Vaccine categories are used to organize vaccines into groups, enabling you to quickly access a specific set of vaccines. • You can create and modify vaccine categories to suit your needs.

  15. Vaccine Category • Select the Vaccine Category • Select the vaccine by clicking on blue hyperlink

  16. Vaccine Category • Once the information is entered click OK

  17. Vaccine Category • Click the Add hyperlink to search for and add a vaccine to the category

  18. Vaccine Category • In the Find the Vaccine Series window you can select the vaccines to add to the Vaccine category • CPT and CVX codes associated with the vaccine are automatically populated in the list

  19. Vaccine Category • Click OK when all Vaccines are added to the Vaccine Category

  20. Vaccine Administration Record • The Vaccination Administration Record functionality mimics the format of the CDC vaccine administration record. • Vaccination Administration Record can be used to enter information about a vaccination when administering the vaccination or when entering patient history. • You can also print a report from the Vaccine Administration Record window containing detailed vaccine information.

  21. Vaccine Administration Record • Click on the Vaccine Record Name by selecting the blue hyperlink

Vaccine Administration Record • The Name can be modified • Associate the care team of the practice • Click on the magnifying glass to open the Find the Vaccines window to add a vaccine to the Vaccine Record • In Find the Vaccines window the Vaccines are listed with the corresponding Vaccine Category • Choose the Adult or Pediatric age group • You can change the order of the Vaccine Record by selecting the Up and Down arrows • Continue to enter the vaccines into the vaccine record • When complete click OK 1 2 4 3 5 6

  23. Vaccine Administration Record • Click Add to enter vaccine details information in the New Patient Vaccine Window

  24. Patient Vaccine Record • Enter Administered Information • Enter Vaccine Details • Enter Medication Information • Enter Given By Details • Click OK when complete • *If Vaccine information was entered in List Editor it will prepopulate

  25. Patient Vaccine Record • Patient’s Vaccine Record • Select the print button to print the record • Shows the details as entered in the “New Patient Vaccine Window”
