  5. COLLEGE VISIT INFORMATION TBA Check with your school counselor about upcoming college visits. If you wish to attend this visit please make sure you are signed up on the sheet in the main office before the end of homeroom this morning. Also remember if you plan to attend you must report to 2nd period and check in before leaving for the cafeteria. You will be marked absent otherwise so make sure to check in with 2nd period before heading to the cafeteria.

  6. Roanoke Chamber Brass will have a free holiday concert on Friday December 9th at 8:00 at the Wharton Foundation’s Bower Center for the Arts

  22. Order Online or Come to the Bookfair!(or both!!!) • The LHS Library Youth Advisory Board is hosting an ONLINE bookfair in conjunction with the bookfair that will be in the library on Dec 5. The online bookfair will begin November 17 and end Dec 8. All orders will be delivered to the library. Make plans to visit the book fair in the library after Thanksgiving break (Dec. 5-15)!!! Remember--books make great presents!!!

  25. The ACE Scholastic Bowl Academic team is looking for new contestants to play in district competitions. If you love trivia games and like the idea of team Jeopardy, then ACE is for you! Interested students should see Mrs. Lohr in room 106 in the Science building. Practices are Thursdays at 4 pm. Competitions begin October

  31. Fun, Fun, Fun!!! The Student-Faculty dodgeball game has returned! At the end of first semester the students will take on the faculty in a game of dodgeball. To play or attend and cheer on the students, you must have no discipline referrals from November ninth until the end of the semester! So keep a positive attitude, good behavior, and we'll see you at the game in January!

  32. Residential Governor’s School anyone??? Attention all 10th& 11th grade students: If you are interested in attending Summer Residential Governor’s Schools in the fields of foreign language, academics, or visual and performing arts, please see Mrs. Clark in guidance office for more details and an application. This is for 10th and 11th grade students ONLY.
