Why students should use their MTSU e-mail accounts When students use commercial e-mail accounts for communicating with faculty there is the possibility of their messages being detected as spam and not being delivered. To avoid this risk it is recommended that students use their MTSU e-mail accounts when corresponding with their professors. All students have access to their MTSU e-mail over the Internet via Pipeline, and the use of Pipeline increases the probability that a message will be delivered as expected. Once a message is sent via Pipeline it stays within MTSU and does not traverse the Internet. Information Technology Division
