Lots of places in medical practice where ontologies are urgently needed • Patient problems (e.g., “chest pain”, “shortness of breath”, “abnormal skin lesions”) • Best practices and clinical guidelines • Repositories of clinical trials for archiving negative results and adverse reactions • Pharmacogenomics and genomic medicine
