  5. Review Rev 6 • 6 of the 7 Seals: • First are the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse representing havoc created by the Antichrist. • 5th seal revealed the tribulation martyrs slaughtered by the Antichrist, under the alter • 6th seal revealed signs and terror on earth: “Who is able to stand?” • These are events that happen before the end time itself. Jesus called this the “beginning of sorrows [birth pangs]”: • Matt 24:7-8 "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. 8 "But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs " David Tye

  6. Review Rev 7 – “Who is able to stand?” Revelation 7:1 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, so that no wind would blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree. Revelation 7:3-4 saying, "Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees until we have sealed the bond-servants of our God on their foreheads." 4And I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred and forty-four thousand sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel: Revelation 7:9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands; David Tye

  7. Rev 8: The 7th Seal • Christ called what followed the beginning of sorrows the “Great Tribulation”: • Matt 24:21-22 "For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will. 22 "Unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short. " David Tye

  8. Why a Great Tribulation? John 8:23-24 And He was saying to them, "You are from below, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world. 24"Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He,you will die in your sins." For example… David Tye

  9. Frank Schaefer http://www.canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/21845 • In an interview he declared that “Nobody is damned or going to Hell,” Christians are haters for being critical of abortion and gay rights; and “salvation is a journey.” • He added, “Atheism may be absolutely correct, or Buddhism may be. I could be completely wrong about theism.” Moreover, Dawkins, Hitchins, and Harris “could be right”! He declares that “Right Wing Christians” are “far more dangerous than the Dawkins [atheist] group.” • Throughout the interview he constantly drops names of former friends like Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, Tim LaHay, Jerry Jenkins, George Bush, Jack Kemp, etc., all of whom he now criticizes. • He wrote, “Jerry Jenkins and Tim LaHaye’s Left Behind series of sixteen novels (so far!) represents everything that is most deranged about religion...” David Tye

  10. The plagues on Egypt  (Ex 7-12) • Nile turned to blood  (7:14-25) • Frogs  (8:1-15) • Gnats  (8:16-19) • Swarms of insects  (8:20-32) • Pestilence upon the livestock  (9:1-7) • Boils  (9:8-12) • Hail  (9:13-35) • Locust  (10:1-20) • Darkness  (10:21-29) • The last plague announced  (11:1-8) David Tye
