Final Report Issued June 2003 • The oceans are in trouble and face major threats from pollution, overfishing and development. • Five recommended action areas: • Ocean Governance • Restoring Fisheries • Preserving the Coasts • Cleaning Coastal Waters • Guiding Sustainable Aquaculture • Other recommendations: • New “ocean ethic”of stewardship needed • Increase investment in ocean science and research
