  3. Responsible for carrying out the laws. • Made up of the President, Vice President, and any advisers appointed by the President. • Commander in Chief of the armed forces • Responsible for directing foreign relations. • Set up in Article 2 of the Constitution The Executive Branch

  4. Supreme Court and other federal courts. • Hear cases involving the Constitution or any laws passed by Congress. • Hear cases arising from disputes between states. • Set up in Article 3 of the Constitution. The Judicial Branch
