  1. How Does Payroll Work? How you will be paid for your hard work on campus this summer.

  2. Required Documents for Payroll • Summer Application • Summer Offer Letter • I-9 / W-4 form • Direct Deposit Form (if you choose) • Watch the Daily Bruin for news from HR • Monthly timesheet

  3. Turn Your Timesheets into Paysheets • Paper timesheets due to your supervisor on the last day you work for the month. Sign them in ink. • Lock your automated timesheet at the end of your last shift of the month. Let your supervisor know if you have requests for adjustments that they need to address. • Problems?   6. The Happy Paper Timesheet • Is LEGIBLE • Is in Ink • Contains: • Name • ID Number • Department Number • Signatures • All times in / out and totals

  7. Meal / Break Times • 6 hours or more requires at least 30 minutes UNPAID meal period. Clock out for this. • 8 hour shift = • 2 fifteen minute paid breaks – don’t record these on time sheet • At least 30 minute UNPAID meal period taken BEFORE you hit the 6 hour mark • Cannot add break to lunch or at end of day.

  8. PAYDAY!! • Usually on the 15th of the month • $9.10 per hour • FICA taxes are withheld  • Summer housing if full-time

  9. Your Choice • A PAYCHECK Delivered to your campus box, OR • A PAY STATEMENT (mygfu) Pay directly deposited into your account No trips to the Bank No lost checks; so no $10 replacement fee

  10. Housing • Must be 40 hour week employee • Summer housing ‘value’ = $265/mo • TAXES: as if you earned an extra $265/mo • www.Paycheckcity.com

  11. WHAT ABOUT MY PAYSTUB? • You Have Access To All Of Your Pay Information; even after you leave Fox. • Log on to mygfu.georgefox.edu and go to self-service. • Click on Payroll and Compensation. • Click on View Paycheck. • Click on the check you want to view.
