Overview Objective: This module provides basic instruction to get you started with creating calculations in Excel, using both formulas and functions Checklist: Please download the checklist for this course. Instructions: click the Resources link to access the Dropbox folder which contains materials for this module; you can download the whole folder by clicking the Download button, or choose to download files individually

  3. Survey To provide the organization with information from you, prior to studying this course, please complete the survey. It is a short one. Your time is appreciated!

  4. Questions Journal or notepad … • Describe situations where you have needed to use Excel for math, at work or at home, and have become stuck. Note: You will be asked to refer to these points after you have finished this module, to see how effective the module has been in addressing your questions. Jot down any specific questions you have about Excel math.

Be sure to try adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. • Exercise: download Excel Functions 1 from Resources • Exercise: Create a budget. Using the graphic as a guide, fill in some numbers, then use a function to find totals.
