  1. Learning LeadersFebruary 2013

  2. Switch • Now consider a change that you would like to lead professionally. We will use this situation as we apply what we are discussing in the next few months. Some ideas include: • Upcoming change in procedures, software, etc. • Faculty perception of student engagement responsibility • Changes in how parents/community become involved in a campus • Etc…

  3. Switch – Focus on The Rider • Please divide your table members into 3 groups – 1’s, 2’s, and 3’s. Even distribution is best. • 1’s will focus on “Find the Bright Spots” • 2’s will focus on “Script the Critical Moves” • 3’s will focus on “Point to the Destination” • We will regroup and share out…

  4. Switch – Focus on The Rider • 1’s will head to room D • 2’s from Tables 10 – 17 will head to room D • 2’s from Tables 1 – 9 will stay here • 3’s will stay here • Find new table numbers (1, 2, or 3). Questions for consideration will be found on those tables. You have 15 minutes to discuss and determine how you will bring the ideas back to your table.

  5. Switch – Focus on The Rider • Please re-convene with your table team. • Each subgroup has 6 minutes to share the importance of their section (Find the Bright Spots, Script the Critical Moves, and Point to the Destination). Consider how these played a role in your personal change. • Whole group discussion on all 3 aspects.

  6. Switch – Focus on The Rider • Consider the implications for the professional application that you chose to focus on. What can you do to • Find the Bright Spots • Script the Critical Moves • Point to the Destination • Find a partner in the room to share your professional application with. You need to remember this person – you will go back to them several times over the next few months.

  7. Switch – Focus on The Rider • What are you committing to do, with regards to focusing on the rider, before we meet again? http://todaysmeet.com/llfebruary
