Agenda CMALT CMALT overview Presentations by CMALT holders: Matt Cornock & Wayne Britcliffe Q&A on CMALT accreditation process Discussion Is there any value in establishing an e-learning network across Higher York institutions to support experience sharing & collaborative activities (shared services)? If so, how should this network be supported: what framework should we use to support networking & collaboration?

  3. CMALT overviewCMALT – Certified Membership of the Association for Learning Technology Before registering for CMALT please visit the CMALT website http://www.alt.ac.uk/cmalt . Upon registration you will receive a CMALT information pack and gain access to a range of support tools such as the CMALT Community Online, FAQs, guidelines and webinars. As a CMALT candidate you are also entitled to a range of ALT membership benefits and rights (excluding subscriptions to printed publications) and will be able to get involved in the work ALT and its members carry out. If you would like to find out more about ALT visit http://www.alt.ac.uk .

Portfolio Submission You can download a portfolio submission form here:http://www.alt.ac.uk/docs/cmalt_portfolio_submission_form_2009.doc which can be completed electronically or used as a template if you are submitting your portfolio in a different format, such as online. Before you can submit your portfolio you will have to be registered for CMALT and paid the certification fee. Once you have completed all sections of the portfolio submission form, please send it together with your portfolio or details of how to access this (where applicable) to cmalt@alt.ac.uk .

  5. Choosing assessors One known to the candidate (usually nominated on the portfolio submission form). One who is not known (and who may not be familiar with your specific jargon or role), nominated by ALT. CMALT holders • Once you are a Certified Member of the Association for Learning Technology, you are entitled to use CMALT as post-nominal letters • You can also become a CMALT assessor and continue to contribute to the scheme • As a CMALT holder you are entitled to receive the same rights and benefits as ordinary ALT Members as well as those only available to Certified Members. • Use CMALT to help you in your future plans and career development • Update your portfolio every 3 years to remain in good standing and continue your Certified Membership of ALT.
