ABSORB: 6-Month and 2-Year Results

ABSORB: 6-Month and 2-Year Results. Minimum lumen diameter (MLD): 2.3 mm after procedure and 1.9 mm at 6 months Percent stenosis: 16% post-procedure, 27% at 6 months, and 27% at 2 years Late-loss: 0.43 mm at 6 months and 0.48 mm at 2 years One non-Q-wave MI occurred within 2 years.

ABSORB: 6-Month and 2-Year Results Minimum lumen diameter (MLD): 2.3 mm after procedure and 1.9 mm at 6 months Percent stenosis: 16% post-procedure, 27% at 6 months, and 27% at 2 years Late-loss: 0.43 mm at 6 months and 0.48 mm at 2 years One non-Q-wave MI occurred within 2 years Trial design: Patients with a focal native coronary artery stenosis were treated with a bioabsorbable everolimus-eluting stent to determine safety and efficacy (n = 30). Results (p < 0.001) (p < 0.001) 27 2.3 1.9 16 mm Conclusions • PCI of simple coronary stenoses—feasible with bioabsorbable everolimus-eluting stent • One non-Q-wave MI within 2 years, with no other adverse events • At 2 years, stable late-loss and percent stenosis; stent was bioabsorbed MLD % stenosis Post-procedure 6 months Ormiston JA, et al.
