What is a Higher Education (HE) convention ? • a unique event involving universities and colleges from across the UK delivered by SDS in partnership with UCAS • your chance to speak to advisers face-to-face • an opportunity to attend talks and presentations about your future • a chance to get all your questions answered while the universities are all under one roof. So start preparing now!

  3. Who is it for? • aimed at those intending to go to university as well as those applying for HNCs and HNDs at college • universities and colleges will look for you to be sitting at least: -3-5 highers for university applications - 1-2 highers for college (HNC or HND) applications • this is an opportunity to clarify expectations… It’s not all down to grades • there is also an opportunity for parents and carers to attend.

How to prepare • read the college and university prospectuses • look at their websites • sign up for a free account on My World of Work • work through the tools and advice in myworldofwork.co.uk/HEConventions • familiarise yourself with the UCAS website • have some career ideas in mind for starting 5th or 6th year. • www.ucas.com
