  22. To solve an equation, first think about what is being done to the variable in the ORIGINAL equation. This is the DO in your Do/Undo table addition • x + 6 = 10 • y – 8 = 4 • 3p = 21 • s/4 = 5 subtraction multiplication division

  28. These properties of equality help us solve equations by using inverse operations to find the value of the variable.
