  3. Exercise 1- diffusion • Task- determine relative size of the various molecules • Fill dialysis bag with sugar/starch • Put into a dilute iodine solution

  4. Exercise 2- Osmosis • Task- investigate relationship between solute concentration and water movement • Fill 6 different dialysis bags of sucrose • Place bags into distilled water • Compare weight

  5. Exercise 3-Water Potential of Potato Cores • Put potato core into substances with varying sucrose concentrations • Depending on movement of water, gain and loss of weight

  6. Exercise 4 and 5- Water Potential & Plasmolysis Exercise 4- calculate water potential for the potato Exercise 5- put an onion slice into water
