  1. Warm Up with Surf and Turf and Japanese Whisky at Ling & Louie’s Asian Bar and Grill Ling & Louie’s Asian Bar and Grill has earned their glowing reputation in the Treasure Valley based on some distinct features of their menu. They offer exotic drink specials, choice Japanese whisky, and an unbeatable happy hour while also being the place to go for sushi in Meridian Idaho. And all of that is in addition to their unique and tremendous fusion of the singularly delicious Asian cuisine and classic American comfort food. Perhaps the best expression of that unforgettable marriage of Eastern and Western deliciousness can be found in their create-your-own surf and turf menu. It makes sense that their culinary chops really shine through here. Seafood and meat dishes are staples of both Asian and American fare, allowing Ling & Louie’s Asian Bar and Grill to not only capitalize on the elements of both that make them great but blend them as well. While the surf and turf alone is entirely sufficient motivation for a visit, pairing your entrée with an excellent Japanese whisky is the perfect way to complete the experience. So the next time you have a hankering for sushi in Eagle Idaho area, head to Ling & Louie’s Asian Bar and Grill, and, as compelling as that sushi-craving may be, consider giving the surf and turf a shot. You won’t be disappointed. How It Works

  2. The process is pretty simple. The surf and turf menu includes, appropriately, a selection of seafood options and a selection of meat options. You’ll be asked to choose one seafood and one meat option and then select one of their signature sauces to finish the dish. Choosing between Uncle Fu’s Fried Rice and Louie’s Wasabi Mashed Potatoes for a side may not be an easy choice, but thankfully, it’s also one that has two right answers. The “surf” options are marinated shrimp, wok-seared salmon, and jumbo scallops. The “turf”options are sliced chicken breast, tender flat iron steak, and kal-bi pork tenderloin. The sauces available for the surf and turf are the savory and unforgettable ginger-garlic soy; the sweet Korean glaze, perfectly balanced with the right amount of umami; the rewarding heat of Kung POW!, a spicy red chili-soy blend; and the spicy garlic sauce, another eye-opener with enough spice to make it interesting, but not enough to overwhelm the dish. Flavors like this kind of narrow down the list of places to eat in Meridian, right? Japanese Whisky The perfect companion to the Asian/American fusion of the surf and turf is the Asian contribution to that favorite of American spirits connoisseurs, Japanese whisky. There are three varieties on offer, each assured to beautifully complement your course, but for the surf and turf, one of them may be something of a standout. And that’s the Hibiki‘ Japanese Harmony.’ It was launched to celebrate legendary Japanese distiller Suntory’s 90thanniversary. It’s a blend of single malt whisky from the Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries with notes of fresh pears, baking spices, honeydew, and rosemary. It’s something you truly must try and an excellent capper to a delicious surf and turf meal. Book your table at Ling & Louie’s Asian Bar and Grill by visiting https://lingandlouies.com/
