  3. CONS • Can be a cheating device • Can be a danger (linked to organized gang activity • Distractions from school work • Disruptive in classroom • Cell Phones and Text Messaging in Schools Contribute to School Rumors and Fear

  4. POSITION No, cell phones should not be allowed in schools. It is a distraction from the learning environment and can also be used as a device for cheating.

  5. REASON Students use text messaging to cheat during test Cell phone texts and images contribute to the circulation of bad rumors Cell phones are also another threat of theft and school violence.
