  2. 8 Stages of A Revolution 1) Grumbling. Muttering in discontent. 2) To Stir Up. Promotion of the growth or development of.3) Movement to action; stirring on; spurring on. 4) Rebellion. Implies an open challenging resistance that is often unsuccessful.5) Uprising. Implies a brief, limited and often immediately ineffective rebellion.6) Insurgency. Being a rebel rouser, specifically a condition of revolt against a government that is less than an organized revolution and that is not recognized as combative. 7) Revolt. To renounce allegiance or subjection (as to a government).8) Revolution. Applies to a successful rebellion resulting in a major change (as in government).
