  3. Project Concept Allow users to draw freehand, 3D light paintings in an easy, intuitive way. Motivation • Traditional light painting methods are challenging and constricted to certain lighting conditions. • Light painting could have more practical applications with additional accuracy.

  5. Requirements • Needs to draw with analog light • Needs to capture a 3D position • Needs to be close to real-time • Drawing must be editable • Must feel natural and enjoyable to use • (Optional) Drawing should be rotatable • (Optional) Should work with multiple pens

  6. Technical Specifications • LightPen • Arduino Mini • XBee Antenna + Breakout Board • Various Sliders, Buttons, LEDs • 2 cameras • Camera 1 will be high res • Camera 2 will be low res (only for 3D) • XBee computer adapter • Camera/Receiver housing • User must provide a computer
