  3. Mission Championing the voluntary sector in the delivery of children, young people and family services

Aims To represent the children and young people’s voluntary sector in two-way dialogue at all levels, including strategic planning groups within Derby City To raise the profile of the voluntary sector in delivering services for children, young people and families in Derby Work on behalf of members to tender for opportunities as and when they arise To support organisations to develop their services to offer effective competition to traditional service providers Deliver the best outcomes for children, young people and families as part of service provision within the city as established service providers

  5. Objectives Embed effective two way communication processes for the Network Ensure appropriate representation across the city at key strategic meetings To ensure long term sustainability of the Network

  6. Membership Voluntary or Community Group delivering services in Derby City for Children and Young People Over 50 members Simple membership form

  7. Representation Children, Families and Learners Board Health and Wellbeing Board Leadership Board Safeguarding Board Other boards and forums as members are able

  8. Network Meeting dates 15th November 2012 10am – 12pm 17th January 2013 10am – 12pm 21st March 2013 10am – 12pm All meetings are at Community Action Derby All meeting have promotion and networking opportunities Topics are decided by members
