The Cold War, from 1947 to 1991, was a sustained state of political and military tension between powers in the Western Bloc, dominated by the United States , and powers in the Eastern Bloc, dominated by the Soviet Union .This began after the success of their temporary wartime alliance against Nazi Germany, leaving the USSR and the US as two superpowers with profound economic and political differences. A neutral faction arose with the Non-Aligned Movement founded by Egypt, India, and Yugoslavia; this faction rejected association with either the US-led West or the Soviet-led East

  3. The Cold War was named like this because the two major powers—each possessing nuclear weapons but they never met in direct military combat.After all this situation the Americans and the Sovietics started to compete for everything like in Science and technology . • Stalin Harry S. Truman

Was a barrier constructed by the German Democratic Republic starting on 13 August 1961 to novembre9th of  1989 , that completely cut off  West Berlin from East Germany and from East Berlin. The barrier included guard towers placed the wall. • The Eastern Bloc saidthat the wall was built to protect all the population from fascist .In practice, the Wall served to prevent the massive emigration and defection that marked Germany and the communist Eastern Bloc during the post-World War II period. A lot of people died trying to pass to the other side THE BERLIN WALL
