  2. Consequence Miss Clabby’s 8th grade LA class If you do not give your best effort every day, bad habits will form which will make the rest of school very difficult. Also, you will be at a disadvantage to enjoy the lessons we will learn.

  3. Rule Miss Clabby’s 8th grade LA class Respect and protect our learning environment.

  4. Consequence Miss Clabby’s 8th grade LA class If you do not respect and protect our learning environment, the enjoyment of our learning will be compromised. Also, there may be reason to serve a school-supported punishment time.

  5. Rule Miss Clabby’s 8th grade LA class Tell the truth.

  6. Consequence Miss Clabby’s 8th grade LA class If you do not tell the truth, the trust between you, Miss Clabby, and your classmates may be compromised. This may result in not earning privileges or parent contact.

  7. Rule Miss Clabby’s 8th grade LA class Respect others’ limits and talents.

  8. Consequence Miss Clabby’s 8th grade LA class If you do not respect other’s limitations and talents, hard feelings or misunderstanding may develop. This will be detrimental to the enjoyment and learning we will do this year.

  9. Rule Miss Clabby’s 8th grade LA class Cooperate with Miss Clabby for the best experience possible in LA class.

  10. Consequence Miss Clabby’s 8th grade LA class If you do not cooperate with Miss Clabby, full appreciation for or understanding of our curriculum may not occur. Dependent upon the level on non-cooperative behavior, parent contact or school-supported punishment time may be required.

  11. Rule Miss Clabby’s 8th grade LA class Listen to one voice at a time during class discussion.

  12. Consequence Miss Clabby’s 8th grade LA class If you do not listen to one voice at a time during class discussion, you may miss a valuable opportunity to learn from your classmate.

  13. Rule Miss Clabby’s 8th grade LA class Speak only when you have everyone’s attention during class discussion.

  14. Consequence Miss Clabby’s 8th grade LA class If you speak without everyone’s attention during class discussion, your classmates will miss an opportunity to fully appreciate your contributions to class (and how smart you are).

  15. Procedure: Beginning Class Miss Clabby’s 8th grade LA class Sit in your seat when the bell rings. Copy daily homework. Copy and respond to journal prompt.

  16. Procedure: Leaving the Room Miss Clabby’s 8th grade LA class Exit seat appropriately. Present planner (already filled out) for signature. Enter classroom and return to seat. Resume class work without distraction.

  17. Procedure: Class Movement Miss Clabby’s 8th grade LA class Exit seat appropriately. Proceed to in-class destination directly. Keep hands, and feet under control. Employ book shelf, pencil sharpener, or trash can responsibly. Return to seat without incident.
