  3. EARLY HISTORY • Elder Mary Glenn was instrumental in the growth and development of the House of Prayer. • She led many to the Lord with her spirit filled and fiery messages. At the end of her ministry, Elder O.M. McGee became pastor.

  4. WV district • The first Convocation of the West Virginia District was held at the Northside United Holy Church; the first Minister’s and Deacon’s Union were also held there. It also served as the headquarters for the district.

  5. Bishop George Heartwell After the death of the then Bishop J.H. Easley, Elder Heartwell assumed the role of pastor at Northside United Holy Church.

  6. Elderheartwell’s vision • Renovation of the sanctuary: • Installation of steps leading down to the dining hall. • the porch covered • new bathrooms installed • Kitchen remodeled • New van purchased • new doors placed on the front of the church • new siding and lights

  7. New beginnings On Elder Heartwell answered the call to the Bishopric.
