  7. Long and Short Adjectives Divide the adjectives we used to describe the Beatles in to long and short adjectives. Example- Short- young, cute. Long- attractive, serious.

  8. Comparative or Superlative?Short or Long?

  9. Comparing the Beatles We are now going to look at photos of the Beatles at the start (1963) and at the end of their career (1970). Compare the two photos and make sentences using the appropriate structure for comparatives. Example- Paul looks younger in 1963. John looks more handsome in 1970.

  10. Watch the following three videos and note down adjectives to describe the songs. I Want To Hold Your Hand Yesterday I Am The Walrus

  11. In small groups, use superlatives to describe the videos. Example- I thought Yesterday was the most beautiful song. I thought I Am The Walrus was the craziest song.

  12. Album Covers You will now be shown 4 album covers from different points in the Beatle’s career. Compare them and say which one is your favourite.

  13. Think of some modern musicians. Do you prefer the Beatles or modern musicians? How has music changed since the 1960s? Why do you think the Beatles were so popular in the 1960s? Would the Beatles be popular today?
