John Lennon and Paul McCartney were introduced by a mutual friend before the Quarry Men were to perform at Woolton Parish Church Paul McCartney talked John Lennon into auditioning his younger friend, George Harrison, to be in the band The Beatles went through several names such as Johnny and the Moondogs, The Silver Beatles, until their final name The Beatles.

  4. The Beatles first came to America together on February 7, 1964. • Their plane arrived in New York at John F Kennedy International Airport

  5. The Beatles first appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show when they came to America.

  7. John Lennon was shot 4 times in the back and killed outside his home in New York City. John Lennon was shot by a deranged fan outside his apartment building in New York City on December 8th, 1980. His last words were, “I’m shot. George Harrison Dies Of Cancer On November 29th, 2001 His family gave out a statement saying: "He left this world as he lived in it, conscious of God, fearless of death, and at peace, surrounded by family and friends. He often said, 'Everything else can wait but the search for God cannot wait, and love one another."'
