Encouraging a Christian way of life • We have daily Worship led regularly by visiting speakers • We have Praise and Worship through song weekly organised by one of our Governors • Our staff lead by example • All children are encouraged to do the right thing • We say prayers daily in the classroom • We provide opportunities for quiet reflection • We distinguish between right and wrong behaviour • We display rules (which are based on Christian principles) prominently in each classroom • We ensure that the teaching of Sex and drugs education is within a strong moral • framework • We provide support for national and local charities • Good behaviour is rewarded • We encourage older children to care, support and play with younger children • We celebrate pupil’s success • Spiritual Development is at the heart of all we do

Ensuring that each child has a good understanding of how to live a healthy lifestyle • We are accredited for being a Healthy School • We provide milk/toast as a healthy snack • We are part of the National Fruit/Vegetable Scheme at KS1 • Our children are encouraged to drink water during the day • We provide water fountains, accessible to all pupils • We provide out of school activities to enhance physical activities • Parents are encouraged to provide a healthy packed lunch • Our school dinners are based on a healthy diet • Each class is timetabled for PE • A healthy life style is promoted in our curriculum and throughout school

Ensuring that each child feels safe and secure • Our teachers provide all children with an equal access to all areas of the curriculum • We ensure that teachers endeavour to foster a sense of respect for all individuals • Our displays promote the richness of other cultures • We ensure a safe environment for our children • We have strong links with health and social services

Providing an enriched learning environment where children can achieve, enjoy and succeed • We ensure good behaviour around school • We praise our pupils and discipline is consistent • We have a calm, purposeful atmosphere • We regularly change our vibrant displays • We value children’s work • We have clean, tidy rooms • Each class has a nominated area for coats and responsibility for it • We have a friendly, welcoming main entrance • We provide playground equipment • We have flowers and plants in school and in the grounds • We have well labelled resources • We make use of outside resources • We have well equipped and marked play areas • We have a tidy staff room and offices • We have purposefully organised classrooms • Up to date ICT is accessible • We have clear routines for maintenance

Ensuring each child has a good understanding of their rights and responsibilities within the wider community • We have excellent relationships • We ensure a high level of social responsibility • We ensure excellent behaviour • Children express their views confidently and listen well to other points of view • Children are involved in school and community activities • We encourage children to become informed citizens • Children are aware of strategies to overcome difficulties • A citizenship award is presented termly to a deserving pupil
