We do… 3 main things Expert and trusted advice and practical assistance Shared digital infrastructure and services Sector wide deals with IT vendors and commercial publishers Current examples: Janet network, shared data centre, eduroam wireless, geospatial services Future examples: Learner analytics, research data management, FE college in a box Current examples: Microsoft 365 email, Amazon web services, e-journals, FE e-books Future examples: Prevent web filtering, Tableau, new models for digital publishing Current examples: Financial x-ray, cloud advice, cyber security/business continuity Future examples: FE mergers, open access good practice, national monograph strategy An introduction to Jisc

Working with providers in the North East • Access Training • Face to face training session delivered by subject specialist on mobile apps for learning • Prior to session only 15% of respondents were confident about using mobile learning technology in the classroom • After the session this had increased to 77% • Sharon Wallace, Quality Manager at Access Training, said “The support from staff at JISC has been excellent.  Recently all our delivery team received CPD training on how technology can be integrated into sessions to engage and motivate learners.  This has given the team confidence to create a more innovative training environment and feedback from learners has been extremely positive” An introduction to Jisc

Working with providers in the North East cont. • Release Potential • Working with provider to help them devise and develop an e-learning strategy • Newcastle City Learning • Similar to Access Training, one of our subject specialists delivered a face to face session on the different mobile technologies that can be used in the classroom An introduction to Jisc
