  4. Why? I chose this time period because I’ve always loved simplistic art pieces and contemporary art. It’s very functional and bold. My piece is a mug, my mug has many qualities most late 20th century contemporary clay would have, such as simplicity ands smooth shapes, and will be glazed with a bold glaze. It’s also functional.
