  2. Purpose To observe osmosis in a cell Water Corn syrup • 1) Place eggs in vinegar. To remove the shell. • 2) Measure weight of egg using a balance • 3) Measure weight of egg using a balance • 4) Place one egg in water and Place another egg in corn syrup • 5) Weight and measure eggs

  3. Hypothesis Hypothesis on water egg Hypothesis on Corn syrup egg • I think its going to get Bigger • I think it will be Heavier • I think it will look The same colour • I think its going to be Smaller • I think it will be Lighter • I think it will look Brown

  4. Materials • Eggs • Beakers • Balance • String • Measuring tape • Vinegar • Corn syrup • Water

  5. Observation Chart

  6. Observation • After Vinegar the egg became squishy, bouncy • The vinegar had foam on top • It became fatter after sitting in water • It became dented and deflated after sitting in corn syrup

  7. Conclusion Water Egg Corn Syrup egg • This picture shows that the corn syrup egg would go from high concentration (Egg) to lower concentration • (corn syrup) • The Water egg shows that it’s going from Low concentration (Egg) to High Concentration (Water)

  8.
