  2. Purpose • To observe osmosis in the egg . • Place eggs in vinegar . To remove shell . • Measure size of egg using a balance

  3. Purpose • Measure size of egg using measuring tape. • Place eggs in water &place other egg in corn syrup • Weight and measure egg again

  4. Hypothesis (Corn syrup) • Size : Bigger • Weight: Heavier • Look like: Look fatter

  5. Hypothesis (Water) • Size : Skinny • Weight: Lighter • Look like : Deflated

  6. Materials • Eggs • Beakers • Balance • String • Measuring tape • Vinegar • Corn Syrup • Water

  8. Observation (vinegar ) After egg sat on vinegar for 24 hours . • Foam appeared • No shell • Squishy and bouncy

  9. Observation(water) After egg sat in water for 24 hours. • Larger • Fatter

  10. Observation(corn syrup) After After egg sat on corn syrup for 24 hours . Deflated Dented Before
