He was born on February 14,1867 in Kosai, Shizuoka, Japan. • He was a Japanese inventor. • He had 2 other siblings.He married a woman named Tami Asako and later made a family. • He was a father of three, Aiko Toyoda, Kiichiro Toyoda, and Risaburo Toyoda who was adopted. • In 1926 he founded Toyoda Automatic Loom Works. • He died in 1930, and his son Kiichiro Toyoda was put in charge of the new auto-making division, now known as Toyota Motor Corporation.   3. He was the creator of the first Toyota car. In 1934 Kiichiro and his team designed and built their first gasoline-powered engine. He named the car after his last name because thats what his father did with Toyoda Automatic Loom Works. This company quickly became successful. He was later elected president of this company in 1941. After his success, he married Hatako Aichi and they adopted a boy named Shoichiro. By:Shannon Murphy

On May 25,1975 Toyota was voted the No.1 import brand in the United states. • Three years later, Toyota won the “Import Triple Crown” by leading all import brands sales of cars, trucks, and total vehicles. • In the year of 2000, Toyota delivered its first Hybrid car which is environmentally friendly. • In 2004,for the first time ever, Toyota sold over two million vehicles in a year. • In 2011 in Japan, the main headquarters of the Toyota company, was struck with a devastating earthquake and a tsunami. Improvements of the Toyota car over the past years. • Lots of Toyota cars have improved their efficiency because of a focused effort on weight reduction. • The Toyota company has been making their cars lighter yet more rigid, to help improve overall driving performance. • The Toyota car has improved the vehicle design by developing seat structure and wheel design. • The Toyota car has been trying to expand their gas efficiency • Toyota has also been trying to improve their automatic self park.   13. Toyota Automobile Museum The Toyota Automobile Museum is keeping the life of Toyota. People fell in love with automobile in the 20th century. The Toyota Automobile Museum collected cars from around the world to represent the advancement though the years. The T.A.M. ‘s main building was opened on in April, 1989. Now have about 120 cars there from around the world. The Annex was opened in April, 1999 in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the museum. The Annex is a building full of history of Japan’s motorization.

  14. Opinions I liked this project because we got to work with other people, and I liked learning about Toyota and all of its history. Shannon :) I liked to work on this project, I learned a lot about the Toyota cars and it was fun because my family owned 2 cars from Toyota in the past. Ilaria :) I liked this project because I did not know anything about the Toyota. And I also liked to learning about the T.A.M. Michael :)
