Why is the media content we consume as important as the food we eat • MMA believes that diversity of programming is essential to our democracy and to meeting the viewing needs of all audiences. • The public broadcaster needs to ensure that it broadcasts quality, independent programming that contributes to a plurality of opinions and an informed public • The TV we watch can either be good or bad for us, particularly if the industry does not reflect diversity.
