  2. Objective • To identify segments and rays. • To recognize parallel lines.

  3. Vocabulary • Segment • Ray • Opposite Rays • Parallel Lines • Skew Lines • Parallel Planes

  4. Segment • A segment is part of a line consisting of two endpoints and all the points between them. • Geometric figures are formed by segments.

  5. Ray • A ray is part of a line consisting of one endpoint and all the points of a line on one side of the endpoint.

  6. Opposite Rays • Opposite rays are two collinear rays with the same endpoint. • Opposite rays always form a line.

  7. Parallel Lines • Parallel Lines are coplanar lines that do not intersect

  8. Skew Lines • Skew lines are lines that are not in the same plane. • Skew lines will never intersect

  9. Parallel Planes • Parallel planes are planes that do not intersect.
