  19. Objectives of Target Setting • To raise awareness amongst students on their individual potential • Guide students using targets as a goal they should work towards

Creating a Scaffold for Progress • Each student will be given an initial target grade for all subjects he or she offers • The initial targets are set for a student based on his or her PSLE results and our school’s performance in National Examinations • Once a target is reached, the teachers and parents can revise the target upwards

  21. Performance – tracking progress • Students enter their targets into their school diary. After every test, the students compare their results against their targets to keep track of their performance • Teachers use class contact time and other times to discuss with the students on their targets and guide the students to work towards achieving them

Coursework – Quality work, Meeting deadlines • Tuesday afternoons have been set aside for pupils who need to catch up on their coursework • Sufficient time needs to be devoted to the fabrication of the artifact • Fabrication will begin immediately after the mid-year exams and continue into the June holidays

  29. GCE MTL Exam (03 Jun 13) • Mock Examination before Mid-year Exams to familiarize pupils with the format of the exam paper • Special revision programme “Sprint to the Finish” in Week 10 of Term 2 to prepare pupils for the GCE O Level Exam
