(Fiziksel veya kimyasal karsinojenler veya bu karsinojenlerin transforme ettikleri ürünler.) Prokarsinojen----------------- AKTİF KARSİNOJEN Epigenetik karsinojenler Hormonlar reseptörleri ile interaksiyona geçerek karsinogenezde promotor görevi üstlenebilir.

Alkilleyici ajanlar Alkilleyici ajanlar nükleik asitlerin baz kompenentlerine çoğu zaman metil transferi yaparak modifiye bazların oluşmasına bazende ANA-DNA çapraz bağlanmalarının oluşmasına neden olur. Bir çok anti kanser alkilleyici drug lar genotoksik etkilidir ve replikasyonu baskılar. Some examples of alkylating agents are nitrogen mustards (chlorambucil and cyclophosphamide); cisplatin; nitrosoureas (carmustine, lomustine, and semustine); alkylsulfonates (busulfan); ethyleneimines (thiotepa); and triazines (dacarbazine).
