  2. Here we go • Open: Long Road pic in Gimp • Lets Crop out part of the bottom of the picture, so its not so long

  3. Path way • Grab the Pen tool (shortcut is B on the keyboard) • You will click 8 points…follow the image below • Yes, points 1, 6, 7, 8, 9 are outside of the picture a little bit

  4. Turn Path into Selection • Select>From Path • Hit OK • Then, Select>Invert

  5. Layer Mask • Layer>Mask>Add Layer Mask • Choose Selection>Okay • Deselect • Create New Layer

  6. Place an Image as Background • FILE>Open • Find: Long Road Background • Copy the image • Go back to original image • Paste, then update Floating Layer • Move “pasted layer” to the bottom of the layers

  7. Add a Frame • Click the Rectangle Tool • Draw out a shape, including a bit extra of the road -Fill with White

  8. Transparent • Select>Shrink • 15-20 pixels • Edit>Clear • Deselect

  9. Last steps • Staying on the top layer, Erase the bottom part of the border…see image below
