The Atmosfär family of test chambers… • …. was developed to meet the most demanding automotive corrosion test standards that require tight control of temperature down to -40°C, with controlled humidity and precision pluviometry. • However … many popular automotive test standards do not require such extreme temperatures.

  4. A flexible System • Converts to a standard cyclic chamber in 2 easy steps. The AtmosfärLite chamber is now ready for other types of corrosion test. Remove the air system collection 2. Lift out the combined air dispersaland oscillating spray bar unit

  5. Oscillating Spray Bar • Set high up in the centre of the chamber, above the test samples. • Multiple spray nozzles deliver the salt solution spray directly and uniformly on to the test samples beneath. • Spray bar nozzles oscillate backwards and forwards inside the chamber at a user defined speed to optimise pluviometry for specific test protocols.

Oscillating Spray Bar • Spray bar with integral filter to remove impurities in the salt solution, reducing blockages and downtime. • Fan-shaped spray pattern, in-line with the spray bar, with carefully controlled overlaps ensures test samples are ‘swept’ with a uniform spray of salt solution from above.

  9. Psychrometric Humidity Measurement • Immune to by frequent cycles of extreme humidity, ensuring lifetime integrity of measurement. • Provides a wider operating envelope, with improved performance at humidity levels around 95%RH. 2

High Velocity Vertical Airflow • Pre-conditioned air passes vertically though the test samples, evenly, from top to bottom during the climate controlled testing phase. • Uniformly distributed Air flow ensures homogeneous distribution of temperature and humidity controlled air throughout the chamber and test samples. Air Handling Unit • Combines refrigeration, dehumidification and post heating to extend the range of temperature and humidity control (down to ambient levels) under programmable control, to achieve demanding humidity and temperature combinations. • Coupled to the chamber by durable rubber flexible hoses. • The unit can be located behind or to the left of the AtmosfärLite chamber, depending on available space. 2

  12. Air Handling Unit • Ensures precisely controlled temperature and humidity conditioned air during the climate controlled phase of testing. • Mechanical refrigeration enables rapid rates of change of temperature and humidity inside the chamber. 2

  13. + The standard Ascott CCT benefits • Innovative design to provide a low load threshold. • Pneumatic canopy operation for ease of opening/closing. • An integrated dry seal gasket removes the need for a water trap seal. • Automatic purge system to ensure salt fog does not escape and corrode other pieces of expensive test equipment in the facility.
