BULLDOG FACTS • Fresno State is the premier University in the Central Valley made up of 8 academic colleges 4 of which are endowed • Fresno State has over 100 undergraduate and graduate programs • Fresno is the 5th largest city in California nestled in an agrarian community. You have the amenities of big city life, but just minutes away from mountains and the countryside • Fresno State has a satellite branch on the of College of the Sequoias campus, located about an hour south of Fresno • Over 22,000 students • 83.5% Retention Rate for FTF

BULLDOG LIFE • Over 270 student organizations including Greek letter fraternities and sororities • Attend Fresno State events at a discounted price or no cost to students. • Big Venue concerts at the Save Mart Center • Several club and intramural sports available • Student organized cultural and diversity events • Student Government- Associated Students, Inc. composed of eight student committees • Fresno State students, faculty, and staff committed over a million hours this past year in community service • Freshman and Transfer Connect Program • On-campus housing is optional for all incoming students

BULLDOG FINANCES • Scholarships • Approximately 3.8 million dollars in campus-based scholarships are awarded each year with some being renewable for up to four years or until graduation. • Smittcamp Family Honors College • President’s Honors scholarship awarded to 50 incoming freshmen per year.. • Financial Aid • Financial assistance is available to students and families of all income levels. • Up to 70% of our students receive some type of Financial Aid funding. BULLDOG IMPACTION NURSING • GPA - Prerequisites • TEAS Test - 75% *Students are considered Pre-Nursing until admitted into nursing program ATHLETIC TRAINING • GPA – Prerequisites • 200 hours observation Fresno State is impacted for First-Time Freshman. Priority will be given to local area high school students. For non-local students, supplemental admission criteria will be used to admit Freshmen for Fall 2014.

ACT 19 LOCAL STUDENTS: 55%NON-LOCAL STUDENTS: 45% TOTAL NUMBER OF STUDENTS:  22,565 NOTIFICATION OF ADMISSIONS LOCAL STUDENTS: Rolling Admissions beginning October NON-LOCAL STUDENTS: Out-of-Area Students - Late January Freshman must accept Admission & Register for Dog Days (March 15 – May 1) Dog Days (New Student Orientation) - $70 student - $20 per guest Please encourage students to check their student portal (my.fresnostate.edu) on a regular basis NON-LOCAL ELIGIBILITY INDEX: 3500 (May decrease or increase dependent upon enrollment)
