    1. PIPS Technology, Inc. PAGIS, the Police ALPR Graphical Interface System, is a user friendly interface designed with input from law enforcement to operate with PIPS leading license plate recognition cameras. Applications of PAGIS Amber Alerts Wants, Warrants & BOLO Sexual Predator Monitoring Scofflaw Enforcement Stolen Vehicle Detection Applications for ALPR include intelligent transportation systems, tolling systems, parking and access control systems, and law enforcement. Specifically within law enforcement…ALPR may be used for stolen vehicle identification, AMBER alerts, monitoring of sexual predators around schools and playgrounds, identification of vehicles associated with outstanding warrants, recent BOLO’s, and scofflaw enforcement.Applications for ALPR include intelligent transportation systems, tolling systems, parking and access control systems, and law enforcement. Easy Login Upon entering the patrol vehicle and turning on the ignition, the officer will enter his user name and password assigned by the system administrator onto the simple touch-screen interface.     7. Begin Shift The officer at the beginning of his shift will receive a memory stick holding the most recent databases, encrypted for security purposes. These databases can be from any number of sources, and can automatically downloaded via the BOSS Back Office System Server…another PIPS law enforcement product. This memory stick is plugged into a port in the patrol car, and the officer is required to hit one button to begin his shift. As the officer hits the “Begin Shift” button, the data is unencrypted to the processor and erased from the memory stick.     12. “Triple Flash” Technology Unknown to the officer, multiple images of every plate are captured. These images are analyzed by the processor to determine which image will provide the highest confidence OCR read…and only a single image is passed on for OCR translation…this is the image that the officer is able to see.     13. Database Hit Also taking place during that time, the processor is checking the license plate read against each database of interest. If a match is found, both an audible and visual alert inform the officer of the nature of the hit…again, all occurring in milliseconds. Each database may be prioritized by the system administrator, such that in the event of simultaneous hits, the hit of the highest priority will be displayed in the foreground. This is done by hitting “Search Entry” and entering the plate number. After the system verifies audibly that the plate is not already in the database, the officer may hit “Stolen, Felony, Amber Alert, or Miscellaneous” to tag the plate.
