  2. Security Keamanan adalah kondisi dimana seseorang merasa aman dan nyaman baik dari ancaman fisik maupun psikis. Security ( keamanan ) merupakan hal yang paling penting yang harus diperhatikan dari pihak hotel, karena keamanan yang dimaksud bukan hanya terhadap tamu tetapi karyawan. Keamanan bukan hanya tanggung jawab pihak keamanan, tetapi juga menjadi tanggung jawab seluruh staff hotel.

GUEST • Keamanan tamu sejak pertama kali menginjakkan kaki di hotel, tamu harus • merasa seperti dirumah. • Petugas keamanan berhak memeriksa tamu yang masuk tetapi dengan • sopan dan tidak menyinggung perasaan tamu. • Setiap tamu harus melalui metal detector atau pemeriksaan tanpa kecuali • untuk menghindari hal – hal yang tidak diinginkan. • Kerahasiaan tamu harus selalu dijaga, terkadang ada tamu yang tidak mau • diketahui orang lain saat dia menginap di hotel. • Untuk menjaga barang – barang pribadi tamu, maka hotel menyiapkan • safety box dikamar sehingga tamu merasa aman.

KARYAWAN • Setiap karyawan memiliki loker untuk menyimpan barang – barang pribadinya • sehingga saat bekerja karyawan tidak risau memikirkan barang – barangnya. • Sebelum dan sesudah bekerja setiap karyawan akan diperiksa oleh petugas. Hal • ini untuk menghindari hal – hal yang tidak diinginkan. • Setiap karyawan dilarang menyimpan barang – barang tamu baik yang masih • didalam kamar maupun tamu yang sudah check out. • Karyawan juga tidak diperkenankan untuk membawa barang – barang hotel. • Setiap karyawan diharuskan menjaga keamanan hotel namun bukan berarti • menjadi “detektif” terhadap gerak gerik tamu. Setiap kecurigaan dilaporkan • kepada supervisor atau petugas keamanan hotel

SOP A standard operating procedure is a set of instructions having the force of a directive, covering those features of operations that lend themselves to a definite or standardized procedure without loss of effectiveness. Standard Operating Policies and Procedures can be effective catalysts to drive performance improvement and improving organizational results. Every good quality system is based on its standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  6. SOP SOP ( Standard Operating Procedure ) adalah sebuah standar atau acuan kerja yang diberlakukan di perusahaan. Isi dan aturannya tergantung Dari perusahaan masing – masing. Sebagai contoh SOP sebuah hotel secara general akan mencakup secara keseluruhan, sedangkan untuk setiap departemennya akan ada SOP masing – masing, karena tipe kegiatan yang berbeda anatara departemen yang satu dengan yang lain.

  8. BASIC SECURITY REQUIREMENTS Recommendations for basic hotel security would include the installation of bespoke CCTV systems, access control and perimeter security, electronic keys for bedrooms and storage areas designed to protect cash and valuables belonging to members of staff and residents

  9. security cameras be installed in lobby areas, opposite lifts and, in the case of some hotels, to cover corridors. “It’s essential to locate CCTV cameras focusing on every entrance and fire exit,” continues Fairweather. “Goods-receiving areas require full coverage because of the heavy activity of personnel.” Bars and Conference Rooms should also be covered, not only to deter theft but also for basic Health and Safety

  10. One of the main reasons for installing CCTV is to prevent theft. Fairweather cites the example of criminals who target Conference Rooms and lobby areas with the aim of stealing laptops. “They will bluff their way into meeting rooms by pretending to be the guests, and then remove the laptops and, sometimes, credit cards,” claims Fairweather. “Other laptop criminals enter car parks and force open car boots on the off-chance that guests have left them there. One hotel had 17 cars broken into using this method and, although the thieves only made good with one laptop, the damage and losses amounted to over £15,000
