  2. Sports are an important part of life for many Dutch people. The most popular sports are football, cycling and speed skating. There is no country in the world that has won more medals at international speed skating events than Holland.

  3. FOOTBALL The national sport is football. The KNVB is the Royal Dutch National Football Association. With one million members, it is the largest sports association in Holland.

  4. The Dutch national team The Dutch national team tends to be regularly present at the European and World Cups. They won the European Championship once, in 1988. In 2010, Holland played against Spain in the FIFA World Cup Final.  1974  2010
