X- Rays- What you need to know

X Rays are a type of electromagnetic wave that enters the human body to produce shadow-like images of organs and bones of the human body. X Rays are done to detect any abnormalities, injury, and disease in the internal organs of the human body. XRay produces very low radiation in the human body, which generally has no side effects. But still, it is recommended to reduce the radiation doses as much as possible. High doses of XRay radiation are used in therapy or radiation oncology to prevent or stop the multiplication of cancer cells. Visit@ https://telegra.ph/X--Rays--What-you-need-to-know-08

  1. X- Rays- What you need to know What are X Rays and how do they perform? X Rays are a type of electromagnetic wave that enters the human body to produce shadow-like images of organs and bones of the human body. X Rays are done to detect any abnormalities, injury, and disease in the internal organs of the human body. XRays are used in different procedures of medicine, which includes: ⚫Radiography produced the still X-ray image. ⚫CT Scan or Computed tomography, which produced the more detailed still images. ⚫Fluoroscopy, It is used to enable the observation of motion in the body and in certain treatments and diagnostic processes. XRay produces very low radiation in the human body, which generally has no side effects. But still, it is recommended to reduce the radiation doses as much as possible. High doses of XRay

  2. radiation are used in therapy or radiation oncology to prevent or stop the multiplication of cancer cells. Is XRay safe? Normally there are no side effects of X-rays on the human body. The adverse effects of XRay radiation are very uncommon. For example, The dose of radiation absorbed by the body from a simple XRay like Chest X-ray (radiography), XRay of the abdomen, arms, skull, shoulder, knees, or pelvic region is very low. These levels of doses are very low and can cause no ill effects on the human body. The Procedure is associated with higher radiation doses. In the process of CT Scan or Computed tomography and interventional procedures like cardiac catheterization and angiography, high doses of radiation are used. This amount is about 100 to 1000 times more than a chest X-Ray. What are the possible effects of radiation on the human body? In most cases, no adverse effects of XRay radiation are seen. High doses procedures like CT SCAN, interventional procedures, and multiple exposures sometimes cause biological effects. A higher dose means a higher risk for adverse effects. These effects could cause redness in the skin, cataracts, hair loss, and infertility. No reports of causing cataracts or infertility on radiation in diagnostic and interventional procedures have been recorded till now. Interventional procedures that require fluoroscopy that lasts usually for one hour or more, have very rare chances of skin injuries by the radiation. Nuclear medicine examinations and X-rays have a slightly increased chance of cancer. This risk increases with the number of doses and with the number of procedures.
