  2. The Inspiration for Nora in A Doll’s House Ibsen first became acquainted with the young Norwegian woman, Laura Kieler, when he had been encouraging of her literary efforts.   3. Ibsen and Women ‘I thank you for your toast, but must disclaim the honour of having consciously worked for women’s rights. I am not even quite sure what women’s rights really are.
