Background Why have we developed the new strategy? • At the Mid-term Evaluation of Round 1 several members of the Monitoring Committee stated that they wanted to know more about the projects’ work and results. • Up till now it has proved to be very difficult to involve the members of the Monitoring Committee COWI - NSS

  4. Objectives Overall objective: • To strengthen vertical mainstreaming Immediate objectives: • To involve the members and thus ensure a feeling of ownership in the Monitoring Committee COWI - NSS

  5. The strategy The strategy is to develop a demand-oriented approach COWI - NSS

  6. Activities • How will we pursue the strategy? • The first step of our strategy is to identify each member’s need for new knowledge, including key political issues with which they and their organizations are concerned. • We will study carefully each organization’s homepage and carry out telephone interviews with each member. • The second step will be to map out a strategy for how to provide each member with a continuous flow of targeted information on innovative methods and good practice emerging from the second round. • We will carry out a seminar forthe members of the Monitoring Committee and the Managing Authoritiesand together with them develop the strategy.   7. Results • What results do we expect to gain? • A more committed Monitoring Committee • Intensified exchange of knowledge between the political level and the projects • A higher degree of vertical mainstreaming COWI - NSS
