  1. HERSCHEL DPUs/ICU HIFI Consortium Meeting Leiden 08 March 2006

  2. Table Of Contents • HW Status (CGS): • CFM1 Test Campaign Outcomes • PFMs Development Status • PFM SW Status • PFM Test Plan • Schedule (CGS)

  3. CFM1 External View: box closure

  4. CFM1 FPT VIB RFPT TV EMC Shock FPT CFM1 Configuration • All the Functional Tests performed during the CFM1 test campaign (Full Functional, Reduced Functional before and after vibration and shock, EMC functional test and TV functional test) have been executed using the two OBS (PACS and HIFI) with the same set of boards located in the sections: • NOMINAL: 1 DC/DC board in HIFI version, 1 CPU board in PACS version, 1 P/L IF board n HIFI version • REDUNDANT: Dummy boards (CPU, DC/DC and P/L IF) to simulate the missing section for TV, Vibration and Shock test • The Boot SW is the same for PACS and HIFI as per HIFI CFM (ver 1.2). • A unique 1553B RT address has been used (RT address of PACS nominal: 25)

  5. CFM1 Test Plan Full Functional Tests in HIFI/PACS configuration Vibration Test Short Functional Test in HIFI/PACS configuration after vibration TV Test in PACS configuration TV Test in HIFI configuration Conducted EMC Short Functional Test pre-Shock in HIFI/PACS configuration Shock Test and Short Functional Test after each axis in HIFI/PACS configuration Full Functional Tests in HIFI/PACS configuration

  6. CFM1 Test Campaign Outcomes Confidence test campaign finished on 23/12/05. Further investigations and test have been performed until end of January to close NCRs and open issues All the internal and external NCRs have been closed The CFM1 environmental test campaign has been positively performed and the scope of the CFM1 model successfully reached.

  7. Status of Development - PFM Manufacturing of mechanical parts completed Kitting of components completed PCBs of all boards manufactured (PFM+FS) boards assembly completed Testing at board level completed Boards glued and coatted box manufactured Unit integrated HW/SW Integration completed

  8. Status of Development - PFM Before closing the unit: • All the NCRs have been closed. • No RFW and RFD have been risen. • The HW and SW configuration have been verified • All the documentation has been reviewed, approved and configured, except the issue 3 of the EMC HIFI Test Procedures HERS-HIFI-PR-CGS-003, waiting for SRON approval for sections EC_M-04, EC_R-04.

  9. Status of Development - PFM EMC issue is under discussion between CGS and SRON. As consequence of the ambiguity of the requirement defined in sections 4.3.1.2 and 4.3.1.3 of the HIFI ICD, CGS performed an investigation test in order to verify the two possible interpretations of the requirement as support to SRON. On the base of what CGS verified from its tests and CGS’s interpretation of the unclear requirement, CGS believes to be compliant to it and that no NCR is needed to be risen. Nevertheless CGS gives its availability to provide SRON with further details or test results and to support possible test at SRON premises with the CFM2. CGS kindly asks SRON to give a feedback within the 17th of March, when EMC tests are planned to start.

  10. Status of Development - PFM Before closing the box, the following tests have been executed: Section A and O of the HIFI Functional Test Procedure HERS-HIFI-PR-CGS-002 is 2 (Boot SW PM and DM test fail ). Sections 11.1.1 (G.01: Secondary Power Lines Isolation) and 11.2.3 (B.03: Secondary Power Reference) of the HIFI EMC Test Procedure HERS-HIFI-PR-CGS-003 is 2, equivalent in contents to section 11.1.1 and 11.2.1 of the issue 3

  11. Status of Development – PFM SW • The configured SWs are: • OBS HIFI is. 1.5, compiled with Virtuoso OS 4.1.2 • Boot SW 12-GEN-05.00 ver. 2.0, with modifications agreed and reported on ECP HERS-GEN-EC-CGS-002.The major changes are: • The migration of compliance from issue 4 to issue 5 of PS ICD ESA-SCI-PT-ICD-7527 required by ESOC. Issue 4 is applicable to ASI-CGS contract I/020/05/0 • The implementation of the modifications requested by Alcatel and ESA related to the inconsistency requirement in ESA-SCI-PT-ICD-7527 after DPU/ICU power cycle • The implementation of the modifications requested by ESOC during the OBSW Management Meeting on 13/10/05 to assure the SCOS2000 and DPU/ICU’s TC/TM compatibility (Parameter A issue).

  12. Test Plan - PFM • The test sequence to be followed is: • Visual Inspection (HERS-GEN-PR-CGS-009) • Physical properties test (HERS-GEN-PR-CGS-003 Is 2) • Visual Inspection (HERS-GEN-PR-CGS-009) • Full Functional Test (HERS-HIFI-PR-CGS-002 is 2) • Visual Inspection (HERS-GEN-PR-CGS-009) • Vibration Test (HERS-GEN-PR-CGS-008) • Visual Inspection (HERS-GEN-PR-CGS-009) • Short Functional Test (HERS-HIFI-PR-CGS-002 is 2) • TV Test (HERS-HIFI-PR-CGS-004) • Visual Inspection (HERS-GEN-PR-CGS-009) • EMC Test (HERS-HIFI-PR-CGS-003_Issue 3) • Visual Inspection (HERS-GEN-PR-CGS-009) • Full Functional Test (HERS-HIFI-PR-CGS-002 is 2) • Visual Inspection (HERS-GEN-PR-CGS-009)
