  5. HIFI User Manual • This manual describes the HIFI instrument from an operational point of view.Intended for operators not intimately familiar with HIFI (Astrium, ESOC, ....) • This manual is compiled from Unit and Sub-system User Manuals, Design Descriptions, etc.

  6. HIFI User Manual • Volume 1, describes the instrument in terms of functionality, interfaces and operational concepts. • Volume 2, describes the operational aspects and procedures of the instrument. The procedures are based on the CUS-scripts defined to set the instrument in the various modes and configurations as required during testing of the HIFI flight instrument. • Annex 1, provides detailed information about the commanding and housekeeping data and packets as defined in the HIFI Mission Information Base (MIB). • Annex 2, provides the detailed listings of the CUS-scripts as used in the operational procedures.
