  3. IT PTW Sales Evolution Source: ANCMA(Associazione Nazionale Ciclo Motociclo Accessori ) • Over the years, 126-250cc has lost market share while >250cc is gaining market share. • > 750 cc is also a growing market, even though it is recovering from a great slump in 2009.

  4. Italian Market in 2010 Source: Associazione Nazionale Ciclo Motociclo Accessori (ANCMA) • Total registrations have dropped 22% according to the ANCMA data. • Sales have decreased in all market, but the drop is especially strong for the scooter market : -27,7%.

France 2010 • PTW  -3,9% when compared to 2009 • Moped  12,1% compared to 2009 • Motorcycle +2,5% compared to 2009 • 125cc-7,3% compared to 2009 • >125cc -7,1% compared to 2009 • In 2010, Yamaha is the number one seller for scooters >125cc in France.But, out of the main brands, Kymco experienced the greatest increase in sales yoy ( +166,2%). • The top seller for on-road motrcycles in France is Honda. It is also the brand that show the greatest increase in sales yoy (+751,8%).

Top Brands in Spain • Yamaha, Honda, Piaggio, Suzuki and Kymco are the top 5 in the PTW Spanish market again in 2010. • Kawasaki, Derbi, BMW, Sym, Kymco, HD, Ducati, Samada and Triumph are gaining market share. • The rest brands not listed have < 1% market share each but most of them are gaining market share. Spain 2009 • A decrease of 40% in 2009 compared to 2008 (volume=177K), a decrease of 4.7% for 2010 (volume=169K) • ≤ 50cc PTW decreased by 47.81% in 2009, 22.2% in 2010 reach 34K total volume • > 50cc increased 135K in 2010, 133.7K in 2009 • >125cc decreased by 37.04% in 2009 • Scooter >125cc decreased by 23% in 2009 • Off road decreased by 42.76% in 2009 • ATV decreased by 44% in 2009 • In Spain, multiple regulatory changes generated uncertainty in 2009: the tax according to the CO2 emission, new driving license legislation A2 and new scrapping scheme. • Moped driving license age increased to 15 years’ old in 2010.

PTW Sales in UK by Displacement Source: http://www.asso-scooter.org/Marche-anglais-decembre-2009-fin-d NOTE: Sales volume is higher in this source than in ACEM • As the other European countries, the motorcycle sales in UK decreased since 2007. • Five of the best-selling models of the year were small-capacity motorcycles, mopeds and scooters with engines of less than 125cc. • The biggest-selling manufacturer in 2008 was Honda with 20k registrations, followed by Yamaha (17k) and Suzuki (16k).

PTW Sales in UK by Vehicle Type • Both motorcycles and mopeds sales decreased in 2009. • The moped sold in UK is mainly scooter. • For 2008, scooter sales increased +1.1% adventure sport sales increased + 5.7 % touring bike sales increased +8.6% • Consumer needs have moved towards the wider use of motorcycles for practical everyday purposes, as well as fun and freedom.
