Though you should rule us, we control ourselves. Though you should fulfill us, we console ourselves. For we think your truth too high, your will too hard, your power too remote, your love too free. But they are not! And without them, we areofall people most miserable. (Continued)

  16. Heal our confused mind with your word, heal our divided will with your law, heal our troubled conscience with your love, heal our anxious hearts with your presence, all for the sake of your Son, who loved us and gave himself for us. Amen.

  17. absolution Leader: “The blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:7-9)

  19. JESUS PAID IT ALL I hear the savior say, “Your strength indeed is small, Child of weakness, watch and pray, Find in me your all in all.” Jesus paid it all, all to him I owe; Sin had left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow.

  20. Lord, now indeed I find Your power, and yours alone, Can change the leper’s spots, And melt the heart of stone. Jesus paid it all, all to him I owe; Sin had left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow.

  21. For nothing good have I Whereby your grace to claim- I’ll wash my garments white In the blood of Calv’ry’s Lamb Jesus paid it all, all to him I owe; Sin had left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow.

  22. And when, before the throne, I stand in him complete, “Jesus died my soul to save,” My lips shall still repeat. Jesus paid it all, all to him I owe; Sin had left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow.

  23. BEAUTIFUL SAVIOR All my days, I will sing this song of gladness. Give my praise, To the Fountain of delights. For in my helplessness You heard my cry, And waves of mercy poured down on my life.

  24. I will trust, in the cross of my Redeemer. I will sing of the blood that never fails, Of sins forgiven. Of conscience cleansed, Of death defeated and life without end.

  25. Beautiful Savior, Wonderful Counselor, Clothed in majesty, Lord of history, You;rethe Way, the Truth, the Life. Star of the Morning, glorious in holiness, You’re the Risen One, heaven’s Champion, And You reign, You reign over all.

  26. I long to be, where the praise is never ending. Yearn to dwell, where the glory never fades, Where countless worshipers Will share one song, And cries of “worthy” will honor the Lamb.

  27. Beautiful Savior, Wonderful Counselor, Clothed in majesty, Lord of history, You;rethe Way, the Truth, the Life. Star of the Morning, glorious in holiness, You’re the Risen One, heaven’s Champion, And You reign, You reign over all.

  28. Galatians 5:22-26But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  23  gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.  24  And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.25  If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.  26  Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

  33. Leader: Christians, what do you believe? People: We believe that God, who is perfectly merciful and just, sent His Son to assume our nature, and to bear the punishment of our sin by His most bitter passion and death. God manifested His justice against His Son when He laid our iniquities upon Him, and poured forth His mercy and goodness on us, who were guilty and worthy of damnation, giving His Son unto death for us, (CONTINUED)

  34. and raising Him for our justification, that through Him we might obtain immortality and life eternal. We believe that Jesus Christ has presented Himself in our behalf before the Father, to appease His wrath, by offering Himself on the tree of the cross, and pouring out His precious blood to purge away our sins. And therefore we always ascribe all the glory to God, humbling ourselves before Him, without presuming to trust in any merit of ours, relying and resting upon the obedience of Christ crucified alone, which becomes ours when we believe in Him.
