  12. Importance of Selecting the Right School • To have the career of your choice, you have to attend the right kind of school. Are You Getting the Message? Importance of Preparing NOW For College • To be able to attend the right kind of school, the school has to admit you. • To make sure that the school you want to attend will admit you, you should start preparing now. • Additionally, the better prepared you are, the better the chance that you have of getting admitted to the school of your choice and to earn scholarships.

Many colleges use this information to predict how well students will do at their school. • Extracurricular Activities • Get involved at school and in your community. • Work experience is also considered.
