NALAS Overall Objective

  • NALAS Overall Objective:

    -to support exchange of experiences and information between associations of local and regional authorities of SEE,

    and

    -to disseminate and promote results of joint activities


NALAS medium-term objectives

NALAS Strategic Plan defines 4 priorities:

  • Becoming the main Knowledge Center in SEE

  • Establishment of expert Task Forces

  • Fundraising, development and implementation of joint projects

  • Development of Communication Strategy

Defined the NALAS TF Products

  • Document the situation / problem inventory

  • Guidance for interacting with the Ministries

  • Produce policy arguments, policy papers

  • Comparative analysis on the chosen issues (national legislations, implementation in municipalities, best practices in the field, problems and obstacles still to be overcome)

  • Overview of the EU “legislation” and standards in the field. Possible strategies for reforms. Identify experiences from EU countries.

  • Capacity building activities for NALAS Member Associations
